Inspect refractory erosion, flame behaviour and furnace conditions in real time — without shutdown.

The probe is inserted through an existing furnace port while the cooling system protects the optics from extreme heat. Inspect live, during production. Operators can check:

Observe furnace condition live during production.
Detect refractory degradation before failure.
Move between multiple furnace locations.
Make maintenance decisions on actual conditions.

Melt surface, flame and crown condition during operation.

Continuous monitoring along the float line.

Locate erosion and corrosion hot-spots.

Watch molten metal and furnace interior.

Observe combustion and flame distribution.

Monitor combustion chamber and refractory.

Circulating water on the outer layer removes radiant furnace heat.
Compressed air on the inner layer protects the camera and lens.
Air blows out at the pinhole to keep dust and hot particles off the lens.

Yes. The cooled probe is inserted through an existing furnace port while the furnace runs — inspection is fully online, no cool-down required.
Compressed (instrument) air at 0.3 MPa, ≥0.3 m³/min, and circulating water at 0.1–0.4 MPa differential, ≥30 L/min, both with inlet temperature ≤35°C.
The standard probe is Ø55 mm × 1100 mm. Other lengths and diameters are available on request to match your furnace wall and port.
With cooling air and water continuously supplied, the probe can remain in the furnace for extended continuous inspection. Duration depends on furnace temperature and a stable cooling supply.
Send us your furnace temperature, opening size and the area you need to observe — we'll recommend the right configuration.
