The Optical Imaging System

A sapphire high-temperature pinhole lens collects the image inside the furnace; a DSLR-class camera captures it outside, displayed live.

The lens and camera sit inside the cooled protective cover, with only a 1 mm pinhole exposed to the furnace.

Direct and Side Viewing

Two lens options cover different needs: a front hole for 0° direct viewing and a side hole for angled corrosion / wall viewing.

This lets operators look straight ahead into the furnace or sideways at the wall and refractory.
